--  Hummel Park  --

(Omaha,NE)

Hummel park is located on the outskirts of north Omaha and has been the location for lynchings, murders, and satanic gatherings dating back to the early 1900s. Upon entering the park you will notice the trees are all bowing in toward the road. Legend has it back in the early 1900s while Omaha was booming there was a lot of racism going on. Mobs would gather, and go out to brutally beat and lynch any black person they could get a hold of. They say that the mobs lynched them inside the park area, thus is why the trees appear to be bowing over.

** Investigation **

M.I.S.T. conducted two daytime investigations of Hummel Park located in Omaha, NE on 10/5/06 and 10/26/06. We also conducted one nighttime investigation 10/28/06. Members involved with these investigations: (Lead Investigators)-Craig Rogers, Kelly, Bob Strang and (Investigator)-Rich Sheibal.

An EVP was caught on this investigation while (Lead Investigators)-Bob Strang, and Craig Rogers were near a murder site located in the hollow. The question being asked was "Did someone hurt you down here?" a couple of short pauses after the question you hear the click of a camera, right after the click you can hear a drawn out "Yes"  response.

--  Murder house  --

(Hankinson, ND)

The tragic murder that took place in this house will leave its' mark in the small community of Hankinson forever. On June 20th, 2005, Leroy Lockwood and another man helped Brenda Livingood move into her home. After helping her move, Brenda gave the two men a ride back to their apartment. Sometime after dropping them off, Leroy Lockwood walked back to Brenda's home and crawled through a side window. Brenda Livingood was found dead the next morning. She died of multiple stab wounds to her neck and chest, and also suffered from blunt force trauma to the head. This information was obtained through police statments from the local news. On behalf of the entire M.I.S.T. team our hearts and prayers go out to the Livingood family and friends.

** Investigation **

The Livingood investigation was conducted 12/08/06 by (Lead investigator) Bob Strang and two (Investigators in training)- G.C.Nyland, and M.K.Nyland. The investigation started about 8pm and ran to about 2am. It was a difficult investigation due to the fact the house had no electricity and no heat. We had to run power from the neighbors home to keep equipment running. Upon the walk though of the home, EMF sweeps were taken and no unusual spikes were obtained. The house had obvious signs of what took place. There were blood splatters and droplets thoughout the house. EVP work was done for the full time of the investigation and two EVPs were believed to be caught. There were times during the investigation when it seemed the temperature would drop for a while then restablize. One room seemed to have activity in it. This is where EVPs were caught and the photo of the vaporous mist was obtained. Over all it was a great investigation for what we had to work with and I would be honored to come back for a follow up investigation.

-- O'Connors Irish Pub --

( Omaha, NE )

O'Connors Irish Pub, is located 1217 Howard Street Omaha, NE

** Investigation **

The investigation was conducted on 12/17/06. M.I.S.T. brought in their entire team for this investigation. The investigation lasted from 7:00pm to about 10:00pm. The teams were made up of 2 people and each team took a floor, the bar has three levels: basement, ground, & upstairs. Teams would switch floors as the investigation progressed. Fixed cameras were placed in various locations, upstairs on bar facing to rear strairway, ground floor facing door to kitchen and another facing the back of bar on ground floor. On the main floor of the bar there seemed to be a strange EMF reading on the west wall towards the back of the bar. Cold spots were also felt in the same location. The EMF detector would spike and hold steady then dissiapate. The spot would also float around and we could follow it with the EMF detector. Some team members had personal experiances. (Lead investigator)-Craig Rogers saw a shadowy figure pass by his left side while sitting upstairs conducting an EVP session.  Also he witnessed a small light anomaly that appeared to travel into one of the flourescent light fixtures upstairs. While conducting EVPs in the basement (Lead investigator)-Craig Rogers felt what he thought was a touch to his right ear.(Lead investigator)-Kelly and (Investigator in training)- Eric Johnson located EMF spikes and cold spots on the main floor.(Investigator)- Rich Sheibal was able to capture some interesting photos with 35mm cameras. The fixed HI- 8 camera upstairs was able to capture audio on two separate occasions. The first was when (Investigators in training)-Carol Kelly and Eric Johnson were conducting an EVP session, you can hear the sound of a cats' meow, then shortly after Carol asks Eric if he heard it, Eric replys that he did not. The second clip was caught when the team left the upstairs and we let the HI-8 camera run. No one was upstairs at this point. The sound you hear is a slight bump then the sound of a table or chair being slid. Unfortunately, after reviewing the tape multiple times nothing visually was caught. And in the basement (Lead investigators)-Bob Strang and Craig Rogers conducted an EVP session and believe they caught audio. The M.I.S.T. team would like to thank Katie O'Connor for allowing us to do the investigation and look forward to cunducting more in the future.

This is the EVP that was caught in the basement. (Lead investigator)-Bob Strang asks that question: "Can you use all your energy to move something or touch one of us." and it almost sounds like a reply of "No!, leave me alone!"

- Villisca Axe Murder house -

( Villisca, IA )

The house address is 323 East 4th. Street, Villisca, IA. The only way to get to veiw the inside of house is talking to Darwin Linn (the current owner of home) and requesting a tour. The history of  the home is really interesting and very complexed, Sitting down with Darwin and listening to the story was a pleasure and I suggest it to everyone who takes a tour. Because the story and history is so extensive, I linked the Offical Villisca Axe House website, so you can view it on your own. The site is probably one of the best put together sites I've ever seen. Take the time to go through it, it's well worth it.

** Pre-investigation **

On 4/22/07 Four M.I.S.T. members took a tour through the Villisca Axe Murder House. Members consisted of (Lead investigators) Craig Rogers, Kelly, Bob Strang, and (Investigator)- Rich Sheibal. We were going there for the sole purpose of a tour, but of course we all had digital cameras. Throughout the tour we took hundreds of pics, and after the sit down with Darwin, we were free to walk through on our own. There were a few pictures that were taken that may have caught some activity; a reminder that this was not an actual investigation so the gallery isn't complete yet.
